Hi ! We want to welcome our newest family member, Charley's Bonnie Lass !!! Mark and Sally have produced a premium filly ! Her personality and conformation promise another top competitor.
Hello and welcome to Windfall ridge.net . This is Deb Jayne and I am getting ready with my wonderful Percheron Stallion "Mark" for the 2008 Dressage Show Season. We are going to GO FOR IT this year as Mark and I have really begun to grow in our partnership/dressage training. I have chosen to down size my breeding program in order to concentrate on Mark's show career. With such a willing and athletic partner our progress has moved along quickly now that I have more time to train. We will be showing in USDF Region 2 and hope to make it through 1st level this year.We had a great show at Paxton Farm in Ohio where we showed first level test 1 & 2 with scores of 64.333 and 63.611 coming in second and missed first place by a close 7/10 th of a point.Next on our list is first lvl 3 & 4 !
Our cross bred Percheron/ Thoroughbred Gelding Willy that was sired by Mark and our mare Sally is 5 this year did very well last season. From end of July to Oct he advanced quickly in eventing ending up in training level. He has been sold to a wonderful home in Louisville KY where his new owner is starting his show career, CONGRATULATIONS WENDY KILGORE! {he is in picture on right}. His Full sister Glory owned by Heather Bogan of Ohio is also doing FABULOUS ! she is showing in eventing and finishes 2 nd in a field of 21 at her last show! She is bottm left picture, updates will be in the show pages.
It is my goal to share with other Dressage / Sport Horse enthusiasts my wonderful journey with my Dressage partner Mark. It is not often that a Draft Breed can be seen in the dressage arena, let alone to be competitive {We placed 1st at 1st level test 1 regional champion ships 63,333% 07}.This little known secret of what an intelligent, athletic, sound and sane partner a Percheron or Percheron Cross can be is my Joy to share with others.
